Why Buy a Category B+ Driving License?

If you need to drive a car and trailer that weighs more than 26,000 pounds, you'll require a class B license. The process of adding an endorsement to your existing CDL class is usually a matter of taking another knowledge test and a skills test.

Achieving a pass in a test for category C1+E automatically increases your licence to include B+E full entitlement (but subject to the maximum train weight limit on your B license). This only applies to UK drivers.

Passenger Endorsements

This endorsement is required if you plan to operate a car with 16 or more seats (including the driver) in order to transport passengers. This CDL endorsement is only accessible to those who have passed the P written test and the road skill test for passengers. You can also add an N or tanker (tank vehicle) CDL endorsement to your driving license to transport resources in gaseous and liquid forms, like oil and gas dairy and beverage waste management, or agriculture. Certain companies, like Schneider, offer combination HazMat and tanker (X) endorsements which permit you to transport both types of freight without the requirement for a separate endorsement for either.

The company you'd like to work for will decide if you need to get additional endorsements in order to drive commercial vehicles. Combination Endorsements
